some things from my sketch book...

[original plan to make my prom dress back when i just wanted some sleek in the dark grey to blue grey to navy blue range, could never find anything i liked though, horizontal pleats yay! i had actually practised a lot of it with paper lmao]

[completely changed my mind and this was my second plan for my dress, some sort of cream lace with those sequins that are clear but shine my rainbows sewed in random places haha, with a slip of course. basically it had to be a light colour, white, silver or cream and i HAD to have black tights, that became a necessity.]

also yesterday i went yet again hunting for high waisted shorts in the only place i know, american apparel, and as i was leaving a girl came up to me and basically told me she loved my look and asked if i wanted to work at an american apparel, which i do [50% discount!!!] i've just been very lazy/thought it'd be hard to get a job there, but she took my number and my photo despite the fact that i told her i'd be leaving in a month [but she said "well theres american apparels in toronto!"] so i'll apparently be getting a call sometime this week for an interview and shit, go figure!

i did not whoever find any shorts i wanted in my price range that i didn't already have.

[so my dress is from BCBG and its all these sequined leaves held together with strings, and a slip of course, i cut off 2 rows of the leaves and hemmed the slip and it was good to go [its probably too short tbh], it ended up being $317, yikes! but i'm sure i'll be able to wear it tons of times, i'd even wear it on a regular day hahaha. shoes were $45 from Spring, clutch is vintage form my neighbour, necklace form flea market, bracelet form my mom]

couldn't really find any pictures of me at after prom, but thank god though because i'm sure they wouldn't have been good pictures... but lots of standing/dancing in those shoes was MURDER. after after prom i could hardly walk, we went and had breakfast at a 24 hours place and headed to the school to "watch the sunrise", but it was cloudy and i don't even think we were looking the right way... fail haha

ended up going to bed at a good 6am lmao

so... prom was pretty much a month ago

so yes! my prom post finally!
so it was either the 25th or 26th of june, i dont even remember at this point... but it was great! started off a little rough in the morning with the getting ready, but in the end it turned out amazing :D

so i wake up early for this hair appointment i didn't even want and i come in with this picture and say make my hair like this, and then we make the biggest mistake ever to wash my hair. after all the straightening and shit, turns out my hair is TOO CLEAN to hold and bobby pins and what not and tells me whatever she does it just going to fall out, so i'm like whatever just put it in a french twist! and by the time i get home its already falling out.

so i'm off to a good start, i just take what the hair dresser did out and decide to deal with hair later.

second issue.

i realise i hate my dress. this is the dress i originally had after trying to pick between 2 very similar dresses. problem? much too long for my tastes, and due to the crazy cut out embroidered fabric, i can't take it up. so i had got this dress a couple of weeks before prom [finding a dress was actually too difficult, i almost ended up making it], but i end up going back downtown to BCBG to get the other dress i almost bought [thank god they still had it.], and yay its on sale so i have about 150 dollars of BCBG credit now haha.

the other dress i could hem, which i did 2 hours before i had to be at my friends house haha. so yes. i changed my prom dress THE MORNING OF PROM. fml. and i just threw my hair and in a shitty french twist and called it a day, and to be even more picky i felt very meh about my make up, but WHATEVER.

so that was my crazy prom morning. i think i'll tackle the rest of prom later since this post is already looking lengthy and i don't want to throw about 20 pictures onto the end of it. plus i'm busy getting ready at the moment...
